FAN:dom Year 2

So, it looks like I will be participating in and artist alley at FAN:dom Year 2, this November. It is a local con (in Pensacola) with all the fun stuff. There will be cosplay, contests, gaming, art, vendors, special guests, panels, a rave, and a masquerade ball. Oh, yeah, and I saw something about Quidditch. This is a new convention, in its second year.  Come out and join the fun!

I have two jobs that I love very much. They are art jobs, so I definitely have an outlet to be creative. I found, though, that I have a more difficult time keeping up with my personal art. The type of art that I do is very illustrative and precise. It takes quite a bit of planning and sometimes my brain is just too tired. I just found a way around this, though. When I get home, I allow playtime with paint. I don't think much. I just do. I drip the paint. I splatter the paint. I do silly cartoons with the paint. I am loving the result. This process is so relaxing and I feel more disciplined in this daily ritual. I am also able to leave my creative door open to new ideas for my illustrations, because of it. :)

The morning after.

I had so much fun last night. It was the second annual Skanksgiving day party. Haha. I think it is just a funny name coined among friends. It happens the day after Thanksgiving; a wonderful excuse for a party. Of course, like any holiday party, I ate too much. I think I should slow down with the fatty foods. My inner fat kid is fighting to be an outer fat kid. Gotta put that in check...

new to this...

So, I have recently had a fire lit under my bum to get started in the world of online fun. I have kept journals, and facebook, and the like, and failed at the follow through. I have new motivation. I am a self-representing artist, and now I am making an attempt at the self representation part. I love art. I have the belief, somehow, that I have to do it, and I wanna share it with everyone. Maybe some folks can empathize and share this interest. I figured I would put it out there and see what happens....
Here goes.
